How Neha overcame her Anxiety & Panic in less than 10 weeks
Hello everyone! This week I want to share the story of @Neha S and how she recovered from her health anxiety, agoraphobia and panic attacks in 10 weeks! π
Neha started experiencing anxiety symptoms around 5β6 years ago, but never really realized what was happening. But one year ago, things started to get worse and the anxiety began taking over her life. Her biggest struggles were health anxiety and agoraphobia, which caused a lot of problems with sleep, sleeping alone, driving, being in public places, and panicking every time her heart rate increased.
Every night, she would wake up with heart palpitations and the terrifying feeling that she was dying, often triggering panic attacks. This created a vicious cycle. She started fearing panic attacks, and every small symptom felt like a sign of a serious illness. Some of her strongest symptoms were numbness, twitching, and dizziness, but the most intense and frightening one was DP/DR (depersonalization/derealization).
When Neha joined our VIP Community, she was ready to do whatever it took to overcome her anxiety. She started by learning how anxiety works and, for the first time, understood that these symptoms werenβt dangerous, but that they were just her brainβs way of trying to protect her. Just understanding how anxiety works in her brain and body already made her symptoms feel much less overwhelming.
While working together, we started identifying a few key factors that were causing a lot of anxiety. These were not just memories and fears, but also things like a lack of sleep, nutrient deficiencies, and dehydration. So focussing on these issues first was a very important step in her recovery. We started implementing tools to first put her mind and body in a better state and to make sure none of these issues would mess with the progress.
One of the first things we started implementing, was a tool to balance her cortisol levels. If your cortisol isn't in balance, it will not only cause morning anxiety, but also makes it hard to fall asleep and wakes you up at night. This already made a huge difference.
After that we also started focussing more on optimizing her sleep, balancing her nervous system, improving her diet, stress resilience and more.
This is where the real change started happening π οΈ
Just 13 days after joining the community, Neha already started noticing a difference, her DP/DR completely disappeared! Soon after, she could finally sleep through the night without waking up in panic.
And this was the start of a positive cycle π
Now that she was sleeping good, her mood started to change. She became happier and finally started feeling like herself again! Better sleep helped to balance her stress hormones, and now she didnβt feel anxious anymore as soon as she woke up.
And because she was now feeling so much better, she could actually start facing the things that triggered her anxiety without much difficulty. Even when she experienced a few panic attacks along the way, she now knew exactly how to handle them, and they would fade within 2 minutes π
And this positive cycle kept growing!
Better sleep didnβt just mean less anxiety, it also gave her more energy to finally manage both her work and studies at the same time, something she had never been able to do before. Neha became much more confident and productive and has been given more responsibilities at work because of that. She even took an exam again, something she hadnβt done since she started experiencing anxiety in 2021.

And this week, Neha experienced the ultimate confirmation of her recovery. She took a long flight back home to India βοΈ
The last time she was on a plane, it was a nightmare with lots of anxiety, DP/DR, dizziness, and the feeling of losing control. But this time, she boarded the flight feeling completely normal. No anxiety. No fear. ππ»

Going from intense health anxiety and waking up with panic every night, to feeling calm all day and even going on a plane trip without any anxiety is really inspiring. Youβve really shown that if you put in the work and take the right steps, itβs 100% to overcome anxiety, even if it has been building for 5/6 years.
